Reading guide

Before you read

These terms are arranged around venue access, bookings, poker activity, dining and events, guest conduct and administrative conditions. Headings are provided to make the document easier to navigate. Please read the sections relevant to your enquiry or visit before submitting a request or attending Cardquarter Shepparton.

Chapter 01

1. Acceptance and access

  1. Acceptance of terms

These terms apply when you access the Cardquarter Shepparton website for venue information, make a reservation request or enquiry, enter the venue, attend a confirmed booking, or take part in a hosted activity. Website information is provided to support an in-person venue experience. These terms should be read together with any booking confirmation, event information and reasonable venue directions that apply to your particular visit. An enquiry or request does not by itself secure a booking, table, dining arrangement or place in a hosted session.

  2. Physical venue only

    Physical attendance only

Cardquarter Shepparton provides an offline poker lounge, physical poker tables, dealer-hosted poker, restaurant service and private-event experiences at its Shepparton venue. It is in-venue play only and there is no online gambling. Cardquarter Shepparton is not an online casino, wagering app or virtual gambling platform. Cards and chips are physical table equipment used within the hosted venue environment, alongside the hospitality experience, and participation takes place with guests and staff present in the room.

  3. Entry and operational directions

Access, entry, seating, service and participation may be subject to venue capacity, session or event format, guest eligibility requirements, staff directions and applicable requirements. Guests must follow reasonable directions from venue staff and professional dealers. Cardquarter Shepparton may limit attendance or participation where safety, capacity, guest conduct or operational conditions make that reasonably necessary. This helps the venue manage a comfortable, orderly experience for guests attending dining, poker sessions and private occasions.

Chapter 02

2. Reservations and booking requests

Requests help the venue understand the occasion you are planning. Confirmation from Cardquarter Shepparton is required before a booking or arrangement is treated as secured.

  1. Enquiries and availability

Poker table reservations, dining bookings and private-event enquiries are subject to availability and are not confirmed until Cardquarter Shepparton communicates confirmation. A request is not the same as a confirmed arrangement. Table allocation may depend on the relevant session format, venue operations and available capacity. The venue may need to consider the timing of your request, the number attending and the nature of the occasion before responding. Please wait for a confirmation before relying on a poker table, dining table, event area or hosted activity being available.

  2. Accurate booking information

Please provide accurate contact details, attendance numbers, preferred timing and event information so Cardquarter Shepparton can respond appropriately to your request. If circumstances change, notify the venue as soon as practicable. Incomplete or inaccurate information may affect the venue’s ability to accommodate an enquiry or prepare for an agreed arrangement. This includes changes that may affect the number of guests, timing, type of occasion or the practical requirements of a private booking.

  3. Changes, late arrival and cancellation

Changes, cancellations, late arrivals and no-shows should be communicated directly to Cardquarter Shepparton. Any booking-specific terms provided with a confirmation apply to that arrangement. Where appropriate, capacity released by a cancellation, late arrival or change may be offered to other guests. The venue will consider operational circumstances when responding to a requested change, but cannot promise that an alternative time, table, session or event format will be available.

Operational note: contacting the venue promptly gives staff the best opportunity to consider an updated request.

  4. Private occasion planning

Private poker suites, executive poker evenings, tournament-format requests and dining arrangements may require a tailored written confirmation. For each occasion, the agreed scope may address timing, guest numbers, room use, food service and any event-specific conditions needed for the venue to prepare appropriately. No particular room, format, menu or package is assumed to be available unless it is confirmed for your event. Special planning requests should be raised early enough for the venue to consider them alongside its operational commitments.

Chapter 03

3. Poker lounge participation

  1. Hosted in-person poker

Offline poker at Cardquarter Shepparton is an in-person, hosted experience in the poker lounge at physical tables. Offline poker tables form part of a live cardroom experience conducted in the room, with professional dealers or designated hosts where applicable. Guests attend, take their place and follow the format communicated for that session. Cardquarter Shepparton does not provide online gambling, remote participation or virtual table access. The venue’s website can help guests plan a visit, but hosted poker activity itself occurs only at the physical venue.

  2. Session and table directions

Guests must follow reasonable table, seating, session and dealer directions provided for orderly play and guest comfort. Physical felt tables, cards and chips are part of the table environment and must be handled appropriately. Seating, starts, breaks and participation flow may change where necessary to accommodate capacity, venue operations or a hosted format. Staff and dealers may give practical directions to keep the session clear and comfortable for everyone in the room, including directions about where guests should sit or when they should return to a table.

  3. Event-specific conditions

    Tournament and hosted-night formats

Hosted poker nights and a poker tournament series may have event-specific arrangements communicated for the relevant session. Guests should review the applicable event information and staff instructions before participating. Schedules, table arrangements and formats may change where reasonably required for venue operations, capacity or the smooth delivery of the hosted experience. Information provided for one event does not automatically apply to another. A confirmed session or event communication is the appropriate reference for the arrangement you plan to attend.

  4. Fair, respectful participation

Guests must not interfere with other guests, staff, dealers, tables, equipment or the orderly operation of hosted poker. Cardquarter Shepparton may respond to disruptive, unsafe, abusive, fraudulent or otherwise inappropriate conduct in a manner reasonably suited to the circumstances. This may include managing access, seating, service or participation so the venue can maintain a safe and respectful environment. Guests are expected to communicate with staff and fellow attendees in a measured way and to respect reasonable instructions given during a hosted session.

Chapter 04

4. Dining and private occasions

  1. Restaurant and supper club service

Dining at Cardquarter Shepparton is delivered as an in-venue restaurant and supper club grill experience, subject to availability, service flow and operational considerations. Menus, ingredient availability, preparation and service timing may vary. The venue will aim to provide useful information when responding to a dining request, but cannot guarantee every preference or arrangement unless it is confirmed. Guests should allow for the fact that dining service may need to be coordinated with venue capacity, private occasions and the timing of hosted activity.

  2. Private functions

Private poker events, dining occasions and hosted functions may be subject to a written scope or booking confirmation specific to the event. Cardquarter Shepparton may need to confirm guest numbers, timing, room use, dining arrangements and operational requirements before an occasion can proceed. Special requests are considered in good faith, but cannot be guaranteed unless confirmed for the relevant event. A tailored confirmation helps both the guest and venue understand the intended format and the practical arrangements for the occasion.

  3. Responsible hospitality

    Responsible service and venue management

RSA observed. Cardquarter Shepparton may manage service, attendance and guest behaviour in line with responsible hospitality practice and applicable requirements. Staff directions intended to protect safety, comfort or orderly service must be followed. The venue may need to adjust how it serves or accommodates a guest where circumstances reasonably call for it. This approach applies across the restaurant, supper club grill, poker lounge and private-function areas of the physical venue.

Chapter 05

5. Conduct, safety and property

  1. Respectful conduct

Guests must treat other guests, staff, professional dealers and the venue respectfully. Harassment, threats, intimidation, excessive disruption and damage are not consistent with the experience Cardquarter Shepparton seeks to provide. Staff may intervene where conduct affects safety, comfort or venue operations. The venue will take a measured approach to managing concerns, taking account of what is reasonably necessary in the circumstances. Guests can assist by raising concerns promptly and allowing staff to address them appropriately.

  2. Venue directions and removal

Cardquarter Shepparton may refuse entry, end service, alter seating or ask a guest to leave where reasonably necessary for safety, compliance, capacity, conduct or operational reasons. This may occur during dining, a poker session, a tournament or a private event. Any such decision will be managed with regard to the circumstances at the time and the need to maintain an orderly venue. Guests should follow staff directions and avoid conduct that places other attendees, staff or the operation of the venue under unnecessary pressure.

  3. Personal property and venue equipment

Guests should take reasonable care of their personal belongings and use tables, cards, chips, furniture and other venue property appropriately. Please report lost property or damaged equipment to staff promptly so the venue can respond as reasonably as possible. Cardquarter Shepparton asks guests to avoid moving, modifying or misusing venue equipment without staff direction. Taking simple care of personal items and shared venue property supports a comfortable evening for everyone attending the premises.

Supporting note: prompt reporting gives staff the clearest opportunity to assist with a concern.

  4. Safety

    Safety and emergencies

While at the venue, guests must follow staff instructions, posted safety information and emergency procedures. If you become aware of a safety concern, please raise it with a member of staff as soon as practicable. Cardquarter Shepparton may give directions designed to protect guests, staff and the orderly operation of the premises. As venue conditions can change, guests should remain attentive to any instructions that apply during their visit, including instructions given during dining, hosted poker or a private occasion.
